Hi, my name is Andrew Targoff.  Welcome to my website!

I set up this site as a hub for fans who would like to follow my musical activities and download my songs.  For fans who are also musicians themselves, I would like to also give some words of advice.  I will be recording and making available many original songs, and I will also be obtaining the license to perform and sell my versions of songs written by other people.

Here is some information about me, so you can get to know my background.

I’ve been playing guitar and singing for the past 52 years.  Since then, I have also learned to play many other instruments, and I have developed an improvisational style on keyboards.  I began as a folk singer, but have since gained experience in many genres.

I graduated Berklee College of Music, in Boston, with highest honors in 1988.  I studied guitar there with the late William Leavitt, who wrote the widely renowned series of books called, “A Modern Method for Guitar.”  I also achieved my teaching certification for public school at that time, and I taught music from 1988 until I retired in 2017.
I received my Masters of Music at UMASS Amherst, in 1994, with a major in music composition.  I have had several songs published.

On September 23, 2021, I founded the Facebook group, "Musician's Success Network," which gives advice to musicians.

On my original recordings, you will notice some background vocals.  I arrange and sing all the background vocals. I use overdubbing in order to be able to sing all the parts myself. I also play the lead guitar parts. I have an accompaniment program that generates a rhythm section.
